[:de]Die Skulptur „Unexpected“ von Künstler Tilo Tscheulin entstand inspiriert von einer Reise nach Kambodscha im Jahr 2010. Die dortigen Tempel sind oft verziert mit riesigen Köpfen von Gottheiten.
Auf einer Seite befindet sich ein sanft lächelnder großer Kopf, auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite zwei kleine übereinanderliegende. Die Skulptur ist auf einem zweiteiligen Sockel in über 2 m Höhe montiert, so daß die Köpfe auf uns herabschauen. Die Skulptur ist gelagert und kann leicht gedreht werden.
Die Skulptur „Unexpected“ ist aus Sandstein gemeißelt , der aus der näheren Region (Südbaden) stammt.
Es handelt sich bei der Skulptur um eine freie Bildhauerarbeit, d.h. es gibt weder Model noch Vorlage oder andere Anhaltspunkte. „Ich fange mit einer Nase an und meißle den Rest der Skulptur frei.“, so der Künstler Tilo Tscheulin.

[:en]The sculpture “Unexpected” by the artist Tilo Tscheulin was inspired by a trip to Cambodia in 2010. Temples there are often decorated with huge heads of deities.
One side features a huge head with a gentle smile, while the opposite side comprises of two small heads that are lying on top of each other. The sculpture is mounted at a height of over 2 m on a two-piece base – which makes the heads look down on us. The sculpture is mounted on a bearing and, thus, can easily be turned.
The sculpture “Unexpected” is carved out of sandstone that comes from the surrounding region (Southern Baden).
This sculpture is a free sculpture work, which means that there was no model, master or any other kind of reference point. „I start with a nose and then carve the rest of the sculpture around it,“ says artist Tilo Tscheulin.
